Q Galería tiene el gusto de invitarles a nuestra sexta exposición virtual THUKHU, de Alan Poma (PE). Esta obra invita al asistente a presenciar el ajuar funerario de Thukhu, el artista andino del futuro. Junto a él se abre una temporalidad alternativa donde la iconografía precolombina dialoga con la imagen dentro del espacio temporal de la Internet.
Asimismo, Thukhu asume el reto que plantea una galería virtual de arte contemporáneo, es decir el desarrollarse en un universo sin gravedad, sin arriba ni abajo, un universo multimedia que se construye a partir de procesamientos de información que se hacen invisibles al llegar a nuestros ojos.
Estás características hacen de la galería de arte un espacio lleno de posibilidades para desarrollar estéticas y conceptos que propongan una lectura alternativa de la cultura andina dentro del lenguaje del arte contemporáneo.
Alan Poma (Perú) es artista multidisciplinario de sonido. Su práctica se ha enfocado en crear tanto proyectos in situ como espectáculos. Sus presentaciones con frecuencia incluyen performance, video, sonido e investigación científica, creando producciones que ofrecen recorridos sensoriales al público.
En años recientes ha desarrollado una serie de instalaciones y eventos en vivo que reflejan su investigación sobre la ópera futurista rusa Victory Over the Sun (1913) y la obra vorticicsta inglesa Enemy of the Stars (1914). Ha trabajado con un grupo interdisciplinario de colaboradores, incluyendo antropólogos, historiadores y físicos. Con su retroalimentación, Poma ha establecido una relación cercana entre el futurismo ruso y la cultura andina a partir de sus iconografías compartidas.
En el año 2020 publicó ¨El Manifiesto Futurista Andino¨ (Soma) texto que plantea metodologías para la creación de paisajes andinos del futuro.

This work invites to witness the grave goods of Thukhu, the Andean artist of the future. With Thukhu an alternative temporality opens up in which pre-Columbian iconography dialogues with the image within the temporal space of the Internet.
Likewise, Thukhu takes on the challenge proposed by a virtual gallery of contemporary art, that is, to develop a work in a universe without gravity, without top or bottom, a visual universe that is built from information processing that becomes invisible when it reaches our eyes.
These characteristics make the art gallery a space full of possibilities to develop ideas and concepts that propose an alternative reading of Andean culture within the language of contemporary art.
Alan Poma (Peru) is a multidisciplinary sound artist, whose work has focused on creating site-specific projects and spectacles. His presentations often integrate performance, video art, sound art and scientific research, creating productions that provide sensory journeys for viewers.
In recent years he has developed a series of live events and installations that reflect an investigation on the futurist Russian Opera Victory Over the Sun (1913) and the English vorticist play Enemy of the Stars (1914). He has working with an interdisciplinary group of collaborators including anthropologists, historians and physicists. With their input, Poma has raised a close relationship between Russian futurism and Andean culture, drawn from their shared iconographies.
Poma studied Sciences and Arts of Communications at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He has presented Enemy of the Stars installation at MATE Museum (2018) and Victory Over the Sun in several venues in Peru, including the Goethe Institute (2011), MAC Museo de Arte Contemporáneo – Lima (2014), as well as at the Museo Experimental El Eco in Mexico City. Victory Over the Sun won the Best Experimental Film Award granted by the Ministerio de Cultura del Peru (Culture Ministry) (2014). In 2017, he participated in a residency at Delfina Foundation (UK) and In 2015 he participated in the Nuevo Teatro Musical residency program organized by the Munich Biennale/Festival de Nuevo Teatro Musical in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In 2020 he published ¨The Andean Futurist Manifesto¨ (Soma) text that proposes methodologies for the creation of Andean landscapes of the future.
